About the Event

What is mythology and why should we care? Which ancient myths continue to resonate for us in the twenty-first century and how do artists and writers interpret and re-interpret myths to keep them relevant for contemporary audiences? Join us for a deep dive into the mythic imagination and an interactive discussion about the power of art and myth as catalysts for conversation and self-discovery.

About Liz:

Liz Andres is a museum educator and scholar based in Los Angeles. She holds degrees in Art History, Classical Archaeology, and Museum Studies from U.C. Berkeley and the University of Leicester, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mythological Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She is a resident mythologist with Morbid Anatomy, frequently leading workshops on mythological figures such as Medusa, the Sirens, and the Great God Pan.
